  • Construction on project in North Carolina

    The North Carolina State Ports Authority Berth 7 Improvements project includes the demolition of existing concrete deck slab, bent caps, crane beams, and piles. The existing 20-inch square prestressed concrete piles will be cutoff and reused as supports for the new wharf structure. Crews will install 24-inch square precast/prestressed concrete piles, construct cast-in-place concrete bent caps, crane beams, and front fascia beam, and the install new precast concrete deck panels with a cast-in-place concrete topping slab.

  • 2018 NRC Small Project of the Year

    LIRC Flat Rock River Bridge won the 2018 NRC (National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association) Small Project of the Year award. This project included the design-build replacement of Flat Rock River Bridge. Through accelerated bridge construction, Fay replaced two’ through truss spans with a new through-plate girder span bridge using a jack and slide method in only 50 hours, well in advance of a 96-hour outage deadline.
